If they’re not available face-to-face, get a note card and send a handwritten thank you note. No emails and God forbid you should send them a text. A handwritten note has always been appreciated, but in today’s fast-paced society no one takes the time to do it. Sending out a thank you note will underscore how much you appreciate what the person did for you, and they won’t soon forget that note.
Personal contact seems to be something that is avoided at all cost anymore. The simple act of offering thanks face-to-face or with a handwritten note will set you apart from the maddening crowd and enhance your reputation. If you say thank you face-to-face, following up with a handwritten note will put an exclamation point on that thank you.
On a personal note, I want to tell you how grateful I am that you clicked the link to come and read this post. You happen to be the reason I wrote it. Thank you.
What are you grateful for today? Don’t do anything else until you answered that question.
Thank you again, and we’ll see you tomorrow.
